Registan Square before restoration

Registan Square complex in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. I took the pictures in 1968 before the restoration began. This and other pictures to follow shows the result of a earthquake that hit the area in early 1960s and neglect on the buildings in the Registan Square. It is now restored and one can see the restored version om You Tube. Khaliq
